Ok this isn’t a restaurant but I just have to talk about this place. I know that everybody probably already knows about The Sausage Shoppe but it such a staple of Cleveland that I just want to remind everyone about it. Here is a link to The History of The Sausage Shoppe. They have everything here that meat shop can have. Please make sure you go and visit them and check out their website. All their meats and other products are awesome.

Ok I know we ate out twice in one day but Jackie had me out shopping all freaken day. I love Mexican and Jackie said that she heard the this Luchita’s was great so of course I said let’s stop and eat a late lunch, early dinner there. We both had great Margaritas, mine was the traditional one on the rocks with salt and Jackie had a Pina Colada flavored one with sugar. Jackie had a Chicken Chimichanga with beans and I had 2 Burrito’s, one Shredded Chicken and one Shredded Beef, I also had a Green Chili Enchilada. Our meals where very good. Their Salsa and Chips were also good, but the star was their Guacamole, it was fantastic! We will eat there again for sure.

AMERICAN
We woke up at 05:30 am this morning and Jackie said well I am wide awake so let’s go eat breakfast. So we decided to try out Dee’s Diner on Pearl Road in Cleveland, OH. We have driven by this place many of times but never have eaten there. It is a nice little American Restaurant. The menus for breakfast and lunch are mounted on the wall which we thought was a cool idea. Jackie had scrambled eggs, ham, hash browns and toast. I had Dee’s Skillet, hash browns, and toast. We both enjoyed our meals but we have to say that the hash browns tasted a bit like they were cooked in old oil but with a little ketchup they were fine. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. Overall a nice neighborhood dinner.

Jackie and I went to eat at Pappou’s Café after church on Sunday, April 3, 2011. We have never been there before nor have I read any reviews on the them but we were driving by it and seen their parking lot full of cars and I told Jackie if the parking lot is full it’s a good sign that it is good so we did a u-turn (legal one of course) and went in to eat breakfast. It is a Greek/American style Restaurant. It was busy but we got seated right away and the staff was friendly. Jackie had the French Skillet and I had the Atkins Lover Skillet. We both enjoyed are meals and we plan to return there for lunch or dinner sometime.

MEXICAN
Jackie and I ate here last night; the one in Warrensville Heights, OH and the atmosphere was very nice. The building was impressive from the outside to the decor inside. Our waiter Greg was very nice and friendly. He was very knowledgeable of the food and suggested some awesome selections for us to try. We started out with appetizers, Jackie’s appetizer was a bruschetta with cheese and shrimp on them and I had the deep fried jalapeno cheese balls. Our entrees were as follows: Jackie had the Skirt Steak & Enchiladas…the steak was wood grilled and sat on a bed of grilled onions served with two enchiladas of your choice from our enchilada selections. Jackie said “the steak is so full of flavor and both enchiladas are very good also”. I had “The Grande” The ultimate combination! Three enchiladas – one beef, one cheese and one sour cream chicken – a cheese chile relleno, tamale, crispy beef taco and guacamole. First I have to say that is was fantastic and it was served on a platter big enough to hold your thanksgiving turkey on but I am embarrassed to say that I worked my way through the whole platter. There was no room for desert for either one of us. So our overall experience here was very good and we will definitely go back to once again pig out. Here are some pictures of our food but they are dark because I forgot to turn on the flash….DUH

AWESOME BLT
Dina’s took an old, unused, former gas station building and turned it into a neighborhood treasure. Inside, they maintained the old gas station theme with their decor. We have eaten there numerous times and the food has always been good. Just last night we ate there and I had their BLT and it was awesome.
